Thank you for this year! I started this blog only a couple of months ago when I first found out about nail art, and I absolutely love it! I don;'t have time today to post what was my favorite of 2010 because of a wedding I have to go to today. I promise I will soon! Happy New Year!

New Years Eve Manicure
This New Years Eve, I will be at a wedding. Since my dress is blue I did a blue manicure for the occasion.
First one is in natural light, other with flash.
The bright blue is "Sexy in the City" by CG and the darker I used with konad nail sponge art is called "Rodeo Fanatic". Then I used nubar 2010 for the flakes and konad stamp m36 with the konad white polish :)

Question on Nail Paint
I heard people use acrylic paint to make designs (I.E One Brush Stroke designs). Can any paint be used? Also, is it safe to use on natural nails? Thanks!
Two Random Designs
The first one I seen on a website called "Cool Nails Art" I just added the dots and gold glitter. I was trying out the dotting tool. The second one I just randomly added lines and colors and dots. I am still snowed in so I got bored and did these designs

Purple and Gold
I am showing a quick manicure I did. I used Diva of Geneva for the base color of OPI. I received that as one of my nail polishes yesterday and I was dying to use it. I will edit this page and say which ORLY color I used for gold. I had to put in a corner desk into my room and that took hours. Then I had to move furniture around to make it fit. I've had a long and tiresome day lol. But here it is!
The Black glitter is just a stripper polish by LA Colors. I forgot to put back my ring when I was done moving the furniture around.
Also does anyone have any nail blogs they love to follow? I am snowed in and NEED something else to look at lol.

Zoya Flame
I finally got my hands on my first set of Zoya nailpolish. I can't find it ANYWHERE where I live so I had to buy online. I bought the Zoya Flame collection.
From top to bottom:
Tiffany
Valerie (my fav)
Sarah
Lisa
Crystal
Gloria
They are all so beautiful but Valerie is definitely my favorite. These were 2 coats each with no topcoat. Some didn't even need a second coat like the reds and purple.
I have about 12 more polishes coming in tomorrow! Also my student gave me 3 little ones for christmas! So excited lol

Christmas
Sorry for how dry my cuticles are I haven't had time for anything. My boyfriends grandfather passed away and so did a friend of mine who was only 21. I have been busy with wakes and shopping for Christmas and working. This is what I'm hopefully wearing for Christmas if it lasts lol. It is Nicole by OPI base color "Cherry on Top". The green line is China Glaze "Mistletoe Kisses" and I used a stripe right color of silver for the lines and a hint of gold LA Color gold glitter stripe brush
Not too long of a post I have to get to sleep for work tomorrow morning!

Another snowflake manicure
I'm sorry this is a quick post and pictures aren't so well. I used the konad plate m59. The base color is "Sugar Plums" by China Glaze. The stamp and thick lines is pure ice color "Silver Mercedes". I also put some China Glaze "Fairy Dust" on the thick line.

Blue and Snowflakes
Today I am showing you a quick manicure I did. I used the Konad plate m59. Beauty by Brittanny said she would like to see the Dive Deeper Sally Hansen color so here it is!
Its a beautiful shimmery light ice blue, but this was 3 coats. As you can tell it's very light and transparent. I think the word for that is opaque?

Today I am adding a very small makeup post. I bought this at Ocean State Job Lot and it's Ooh-la-la! Makeup. I never heard of it but I decided to try it. I do have to say I love it! The pigment is great!
I don't know why it keeps going sideways, sorry!
And this is a swatch of the bottom middle colors.
If anyone knows how to fix these sideways pictures let me know!

Halley's Comet French
This is a french tip that I fell in love with. The picture makes it look blue but it is an actually blu-ish greenish like ocean color.

Sugar Plums
Today I am wearing a fantastic color called Sugar Plums by Revlon. It's a beautiful purple shimmer.
The bottom of nail is a bit orangy due to the sunlight. Sorry =\

Red caviar by Femme Couture
This is a dark color, but I find it to be very classy. Went on very smooth and I love it! In the sun you can see a bit of shimmer from the red sparkles.
My skin looks sooo white!

My nails are finnally starting to grow!
Today I am wearing Finger Paints "Meet Me at the Met". I got this one off of my figure skating coach. She tried it and didn't like it. She decided to give it to me since I mentioned how pretty it was. I love this color! I know a lot of people don't like these kind of colors but I definitely do!
I am currently trying to figure out my manual mode on my camera so it may be a but blurry!

Two manicures today!
I'm going to post a quick two manicures I did yesterday. I did the first one, and then I saw OPI nail marbling tutorial on youtube and decided to try out marbling. Here you are!
I used for the base Maybelline "Tutu Tango"
The Diamond is bundle monster plate bm09, and used the princess blue konad polish
The stars are from the bundle monster plate bm14. I used Pure Ice "Pussy Cat" for the stamp. I don't often buy pure ice unless I want to use it to stamp. Many of them stamp very well.
This is my second one the marbling one:
I messed up on the middle finger as you can see. If you look closely especially on the other hand you can see many bubbles. Also this hand looked wayyyy better that the other. The other hand came out way more blue. That was harder than it looks! lol
The colors I used are Sally Hansen "Hotties Wear Pink" and "Blue Me Away!" and Nina Ultra Pro "Mambo" for the purple.

E.L.F
Okay I decided to purchase some E.L.F polish. One of the dollar stores around my house sells about 3 at a time.. I also don't go there since I like dollar tree better. But I was SO pleased with how well this nail polish stays on! I put two coats and then a konad stamp and my Seche Vite top coat. For about 4 days it hasn't chipped once and I haven't been taking care of it at all.
I had a nail broke, then I got really annoyed on how uneven it was =[
This is E.L.F Berry Pink. I LOVE the color and will use more often.
The stamp is bm16 from the bundle monster plate and I used the regular konad white polish.

Last Haul!
Okay so I've come to realize I have been spending too much on nailpolish and beauty products so I have to stop and save for a while. This is my last nailpolish haul. Everything but the two revlons with silver caps came from Ocean State Job Lot. If you live in New England, I'm sure you know how much you love that place haha.
I will be getting a TON of nailpolish for christmas, I will sure let you know when the time comes. I think it's around 15 bottles but I don't know. I did order stuff online so I'm waiting for that to come in and I'm holding off lol

Galaxy Girl
Today is just a regular nail color. I tried doing nail designs the last two days but they all were a huge fail. I do have to say this nail color I can't stop looking at. It's soo pretty!
It's called Galaxy Girl and it is by Orly.

Red Zebra
This manicure was my boyfriends idea. I believe I did start out with a zebra manicure in this blog but I can't recall. Here it is!
Sorry I didn't take off the extra on my skin but I got tired lol
I used Racy Red from Sally Hansen Insta Dry
and then black konad nailpaint with the plate m57
I would also like to thank everyone for the nice comments and everything! I do try to comment your blogs every so often. I really appreciate it all!

Many Designs
Sorry I haven't posted in a while! My nails right now are candy corns. I need Beauty by Brittany post them and I wanted to try them for Halloween! She is a great follower to have too!
I used Sally Hansen white tip for the top (Bad idea, the yellow leaked into it so in person it looks yellowish)
The Orange was Orly Old School Orange which I thought was perfect color
The yellow was Finger Paints Art Nouv-Yellow
These are more designs I did, but sorry I don't remember what colors I used =\
That's the nightmare before Christmas. I actually used a tutorial on you tube. I don't know if the person is on here though!
And these are a bunch of random designs I did. Hope you enjoy!

Layout
Hey everyone,
I haven't done any kind of coding since I was 14, which was around 7 years ago lol and I was hoping someone could help me. I would like to have a custom layout but I don't know any kind of coding? Does anyone know of a site that could help me? I have Paint shop Pro so I know how to do some kind of graphics but it's coding that will be the killer of me. If anyone could let me know thanks!

Clean up manicure pen
So I was browsing CVS yesterday, and I came across the Sally Hansen Quick Car clean-up pen for manicures. I do have to say this is probably the best manicure pen I have ever used. Of course it works the best when the nailpolish is still wet. Here is a picture:
(Copyright of http://www.sallyhansen.com)
If anyone is looking for a good one buy this! It also comes with two additional cleaning heads!

Another french
Hi guys, I did another french tip today. I wanted something that would be like Fall/Halloweenish and this is what I did
For the base I used China Glaze "Golden Meringue" and the tip I used the "ICK-A-BOD-Y" for the tips. Then just my black stripe right for my black lines. I did try to do konad, but it didn't come out so I erased but you can see it a bit on the end of my ring finger.

Need your help!
Not only do I love nailpolish, but I also love makeup. I unfortunately don't have the money to buy mac makeup since I am in college lol. I see a lot of people buying E.L.F makeup. Is it really a good brand to buy? I usually go to Walmart and get the Covergirl, Revlon, Hard Candy etc, but I do like to expand and try new things. Any other kinds of makeup that you can let me know I would be grateful! I may start doing makeup tips but I am no pro lol.

Purple Flakies
This is the manicure I tried to post earlier but didn't show up
God my hands look so old! Lol but anyways I used
Pronto Purple (#20) of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry
Claires coat of flakes that come in that package I had shown a few posts ago. Sorry it has no name =[
Also After I taught one of my students she gave me a late birthday present! My birthday was in August but she didn't have any money then since she wasn't working the summer at our ice rink. But this is what I bought with her gift card to Sally Beauty!
Sorry for being so dark. But the color from left to right is
China Glaze: Grape Juice
Orly: Razzle
China Glaze: Jetstream
This is what it looks like swatched with two coats for application:
I really wish I had some good lighting! I really think these colors are gorgeous, and I have been dying for grape juice for a long time!
I spend too much!
I went to sally's.. again haha to buy more nailpolish. They don't have the China Glaze Holiday collection of "Jingle Bells". It's always sold out when I go. But what I did buy was this:
The China Glaze With the silver top is "Little Drummer Boy"
In back of that was the Finger Paints "Mulberry Madness" (New Winter Collection I believe)
In the Middle was the China Glaze Pepperment Cuticle Oil.
In back of that is the "Flying Dragon' by China Glaze. The one I originally bought was a bad bottle.
Finnally the far left one is "Just Plum Fun" (Same as the mulberry new winter collection)
I did swatch these but the pictures don't do anything. The polish is so much prettier in person.
Without Flash
Top: Just Plum Fun
Second: Mulberry Madness
Third: Little Drummer Boy
Fourth: Flying Dragon
With Flash

Small Haul from Sally's!
I went to Sally's today and yesterday and I picked up some great colors that were reduced/special nail polishes!
Sorry for being inverted. The two bottom colors are Dorothy Who? (blue sparkly) and Ruby Pumps (Sparkly)
Next row, the closest is the red china glaze which was Riverter rouge (was only $1.99! I believe from the Vintage Vixen 2010 Fall Collection?). The three in middle are the Orly Matte collection. The red is "Retro Red", the orange is "Old School Orange" and the blue is called "Viridian Vinyl" (All three were $1.99 each too!) And then I picked up Orly "Galaxy Girl".
Top row the ones with the silver caps are from the Holiday Collection! I got "Midnight Kisses" (The goldish color) and then Sugar Plums (Beautiful dark purple). Then the two finger paints that were on sale are called "Harvest Hues" (green) and the blue is called (Autumn Moonlight). I also found a red one but I currently can't find it in my collection lol. The finger paints were reduced to $1.99 also :)
Now this manicure I used OPI "It's all greek to me" for the bottom coat. I then did a nail stamp from the bundle monster collection. Stamp BM21. For that silver I used ORLY "Dazzle" :)
Here is another picture:
I did mess up the middle finger and the pink was on for a few days before I decided to stamp. Also sorry for the dirty window I haven't had time to clean!!

Breast Cancer Awareness
So I had a figure skating show I was in and I thought that I would do my nails for it!
So for the base color I used the Claires mood changing color the awesome/silly. It is a light pink color and in the cold it turns a darker pink, too dark to make out the design in an ice rink =\. Poor planning on my part!
Then for the design I used the Finger Paints color that was made for breast cancer month! It's called "I'm a survivor.
If you can't see well the ring finger is supposed to be a heart and just a simple line on the other side

Claires shopping!
So I went into Claires today to get some mood changing nail polish. Thank you to the ladies who have made swatches of these!
But then I noticed some other polish...
You have no idea how excited I was! I can't find Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure ANYWHERE and I searched for hours looking for it. I decided this will have to be my alternative. I just put some on and I actually like it! Sorry these pictures show no justice..
And also sorry for the mess of my nails! I didn't put a top coat on those just yet. But it's really pretty.
The red nailpolish is from the Finger Paints collection from Sally Beauty Supply. It's called "Framed in Red" It's such a pretty red shimmer.
